ESI provided noise control engineering for this signature Pelli Clarke Pelli medical facility housing 380 beds and 2,000 staff. Our expertise focused on providing innovative solutions for wall, curtain wall, and floor STC as well as background and ambient noise levels.
Noise control and room acoustic design for an MRI suite, a large public atrium with water features, and a 241 seat auditorium met strict performance objectives. Recommendations for HVAC and mechanical equipment were also provided.
ESI's structural group utilized its expertise on vibration thresholds for MRI, CT, ORs, and patient rooms and finite element modeling of floors to mitigate the impact of footfall on these sensitive spaces.
